By using a franking machine instead of stamps you save at least 2 pence off of every item of post you send out. You will save 2 pence a letter first class and 3 pence a letter second class. The saving you receive depends on the weight of your letter or packet. For example with a packet weighing between 501 grammes and 750 grammes you would save 38 pence by using a franking machine rather then stamps.
